Who we are

What we collect
The estimate form. When you send the form we receive what you typed: name, phone, e-mail, city, address or neighborhood, the service, the approximate square footage, your message, and any photos you attach. The form is processed by Formspree, Inc., which stores the submission and forwards it to our mailbox.
Forms on Facebook and Instagram. If you fill in one of our forms inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta collects what you enter there (name, phone, e-mail, ZIP code and your answers about the job) under its own privacy policy and passes it to us. We use it for the same purpose as the form on this site: to call or text you about your request and to write your estimate.
Analytics, only if you accept. When you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4. It sets two cookies on this site, _ga and _ga_<id>, and sends Google the pages you visit, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and the events "phone call clicked" and "estimate form sent". If you click "Decline", or do nothing, no Google script loads and no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) so the banner does not come back on every page.
Advertising measurement, only if you accept. The same "Accept" also loads the Nextdoor Ads pixel. It tells Nextdoor which pages of this site you visit, the time zone, screen size and graphics hardware of your device, whether you arrived from a Nextdoor ad, and when an estimate request is sent, so we can see whether our Nextdoor ads bring requests. It keeps a session identifier in your browser. We do not send Nextdoor your name, phone, e-mail, address or message: the part of the pixel that reads form fields is switched off on this site.
It also loads the Meta pixel, for our ads on Facebook and Instagram. It tells Meta which pages of this site you visit, your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you came from, and when an estimate request is sent or our phone number is tapped. It may set a cookie on this site, _fbp, and a second one, _fbc, if you arrived from one of our ads. Meta may connect this with your Facebook or Instagram account if you are signed in to it in the same browser. We do not send Meta your name, phone, e-mail, address or message: the settings of the pixel that read form fields and button clicks are blocked on this site.
Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request data to deliver and protect the site.
Why
To answer your request, schedule a visit and send you an estimate. To understand which pages and which ads bring requests, if you accepted the banner. Nothing else.
Who receives it
Formspree (form delivery), Google (analytics, after consent), Nextdoor and Meta (advertising measurement, after consent), Cloudflare (hosting), and our e-mail provider. Each one processes the data to provide its service to us. We do not sell personal information. The only sharing for advertising is the Nextdoor pixel and the Meta pixel described above, and only after you accept.
How long
Form submissions are kept as long as needed to handle your request and the job that may follow, then as long as our business records require. Analytics data is kept in Google Analytics for the retention period set in our account (26 months by default; to verify) and the cookies expire after 13 months at most.
Your choices
- Change your choice at any time with "Manage cookies" in the footer. Declining stops Google Analytics, the Nextdoor pixel and the Meta pixel on your next page and removes the analytics and advertising cookies set by this site.
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: write to contact@hd-painting.com. We answer within 30 days.
- If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Declining the banner, or "Manage cookies" in the footer, is your opt-out of the sharing with Nextdoor and Meta for advertising. Use the same e-mail to exercise the other rights; we do not discriminate for doing so.
- Texts and calls: you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying STOP or by e-mail.
Do Not Track
Because analytics loads only after an explicit "Accept", we treat every visitor as opted out by default, whatever the browser's Do Not Track setting.
Children
This site is for adults requesting home services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us information, e-mail us and we will delete it.
Changes
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. A new purpose for cookies means the banner asks you again.
