Luxury vinyl plank installation
Luxury vinyl plank, LVP, is all vinyl: waterproof, quiet underfoot and the right floor for kitchens, baths, laundry rooms and any house that floods a little when it rains hard. Most of the metro sits on slabs, and humidity rises through concrete, so we test the slab before installing and lay a vapor barrier when the test calls for it. The planks click together as a floating floor, with expansion gaps under the baseboards and transitions at every doorway.
Laminate flooring installation
Laminate has a wood-fiber core with a printed, sealed top layer; it is harder underfoot, holds up to chairs and dogs, and belongs in bedrooms, living rooms and hallways rather than wet rooms. It needs a flat subfloor more than any other floor: we flatten high spots and fill low ones before the underlayment goes down, so the boards never rock or open at the joints.
Products we install: Quick-Step laminate and luxury vinyl
Quick-Step makes click-together laminate and luxury vinyl floors sold in the United States through its distributor network; we install them to the manufacturer’s instructions, which is what the manufacturer requires for its coverage to apply. You can buy the floor yourself or let us supply it, listed on the estimate. Other brands are welcome: the method is the same.

Questions about flooring installation
What people ask before they book. The price is on the written estimate, after the visit.
What is the difference between laminate and luxury vinyl plank?
Laminate has a wood-fiber core with a printed and sealed top layer and feels harder underfoot. Luxury vinyl plank is all vinyl, waterproof and quieter. Quick-Step makes both; we help you choose by room.
Can a floating floor go over a concrete slab?
Yes, if the slab is flat and dry. Many houses in the metro sit on slabs and humidity rises through concrete, so we test moisture before installing and lay a vapor barrier when the test calls for it.
Can you install over my existing tile?
Often yes, when the tile is sound and flat. Grout lines may need leveling first. We check at the visit.
Where does the Quick-Step floor come from?
Quick-Step is sold in the United States through its distributor’s dealer network. You can buy the floor yourself or let us supply it, listed on the estimate.
Do you also paint the baseboards?
Yes. Floors and paint are usually the same project: new floor, then fresh baseboards and quarter round, painted to match the trim.
How long does a floor installation take?
A single room is usually a day. A whole house depends on the area, the prep and the number of transitions. The estimate states the days.
